Hypocrisy, thy name is SUV

Today I was in traffic when I spotted a bumper sticker that said “Tree hugging dirt worshipper”.

It was stuck to the bumper of a Ford Expedition, which gets a whopping 14 miles to the gallon and ranks near the bottom of the Greenhouse Gas Emissions and the EPA air pollution scores.

Hey – Free Waterfall Junior – if you want to drive a tank, go right ahead. Just don’t put some lame bumper sticker on the back of it proclaiming your love of the environment.

This is another “weird dream” entry…

Last night I dreamt I was at my grandparents’ old house with about four random people… I didn’t recognize any of them. We were outside, when all of the sudden two bears started attacking us. Everyone ran into the house except for one boy who hid in a car. Unfortunately, one of the bears apparently knew how to open the door, and the poor boy did not meet his end peacefully.

Later after the bears had gone and as the other random people began burying the boy, a kid who was in a youth group I used to work with showed up, and it turns out the boy was his brother (he doesn’t have a younger brother in real life). And he starts blaming me for what happened! Like I could have fought off the bears or something. Sheesh!

Done. D-U-N, DONE.

I finished up my last chemo treatment this past week, and thankfully I don’t have to get stuck with another needle – at least for a month. Then the monthly checkups begin. But that’s nothing in comparison, so I’m not too worried about those. Now, the *results* of those tests might not be so hot, but I’m trying to think positive thoughts. The odds are I’m completely cured and no more chemo or surgery will be necessary.Thought I’d post some pics of my chrome dome while I still have it… the hair is just starting to come back, but it’ll probably be a while before it’s actually noticeable.

I start my final cycle of chemo Monday. Which I’m both looking forward to and dreading. In 10 days or so I’ll be well on my way to feeling normal on a more permanent basis (hopefully). But in the meantime I’ve got a lot of boredom and a lot of sickness to look forward to.

I’ll be feeling *really* good in six months when I’ve got a few checkups under my belt with good blood test/x-ray/CT scan reports. Oh, and having hair again will be nice as well 🙂
