Saddam Captured: That’s some good work, boys.
100th anniversary of the Wright Bros. flight: On one hand, it’s incredible how far we’ve come in 100 years. On the other hand, the failed recreation shows what an amazing feat it was in the first place.
Baklava: I thought I liked baklava, then I picked up some at the grocery last night, and it was terrible. Oh well.

Inferiority Complex

Today I ran across the resume of a high school friend, and it was quite a humbling experience. This person has done more in the past 10 years than most do in a lifetime. And I’m not talking superficial, money/career-based success, but more along the lines of making a career out of helping the forgotten and less-fortunate.
Makes the Flash technique I figured out yesterday pale in comparison…
Another Subway Tale…

Today I was at yet another Subway getting lunch, and noticed that there was a floor scale (the kind you weight yourself on) near the soda fountains. I suppose the idea was to emphasize how much weight you will lose by eating Subway.
What they *should* do is put it at the *front* of the line where you order your food, so you can weigh yourself prior to ordering – might make people think twice about ordering that foot-long Philly cheesesteak with everything on it.
