Took ’em long enough!

And the Sox sweep it in four… pretty cool, I must say. Hopefully it won’t take them another 86 years to win the Series.

On a slightly related note, Google can be really weird. When I was searching for that image over there —>, one of the pictures it pulled up while searching for “red sox” was a photo of Dylan Klebold – one of the Columbine shooters. Kind of creepy.

On a completely unrelated note, now that my upstairs neighbors have moved out, I’ve been watching the Band of Brothers DVD set with the volume turned way up… if you haven’t seen it, I strongly recommend at least renting them… it’s about 12 hours worth of content, but well worth it. It’s alternately inspiring and disturbing, but always interesting.

Happy Birthday To Me

Well, it’s officially not until tomorrow, but I was just on a website that was running on Eastern Standard Time, and it kind of took me by suprise – actually seeing the date made me pause for a second.

Apparently I share this birthday with Franz Lizst, Christopher Lloyd, Annette Funicello, and Jeff Goldblum. On the day I was born, the Cincinatti Reds won game six of the World Series, but they would lose game seven to the Oakland A’s. But they would get their revenge in 1990 by winning the World Series – on my birthday no less – by defeating the As in a 4-0 sweep.

So I guess the question is, what does my 33rd year on the planet hold in store? I dunno, but it’s gotta be better than the last two.

Blah blah blah

Not much going on, but I feel compelled to write… now that it’s starting to get a little cooler, I’m already in the mood for Christmas. Only 66 more days!

Not-so-deep thought of the day

Having false hope is worse than having no hope at all.
